HST applies to all rates of massage and osteopath.     Acupuncture is exempt from HST.

Important Facts To Know About Insurance Coverage

Acupuncture and Massage Therapies are covered under many Extended Health Insurance Plans. You will have to pay for your treatment at the time of your session, and then mail in your receipt to your insurance company to get reimbursed.

To get fullest benefits from your coverage, make a call to your insurance company to ask a few important questions:

  • Do you need a referral from your doctor before starting?
  • What is the yearly limit on coverage for massage therapy and or for acupuncture?
  • Is there a per session price limit or are there time limits?
